A year in the making, we finally set out in our Fifth Wheel RVs on Saturday, August 23, 2025 with Doug, Balinda & Rhonda for our Grand Adventure! Traveling from our home in SE Texas to see and experience some of God’s most beautiful creations in the National Parks of: Grand Teton, Yellowstone & Glacier.
Days 1 – 3 were spent traveling through Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. After a 6+ hour drive, we stayed in Copper Breaks State Park in Quanah, TX. A nice “Dark Sky” State Park with lots to explore, but with just a night stay we settled for a nice walk and got some much needed rest after a five hour drive. The sunset and sunrise were amazing!
I loved the teepee like structures over the picnic tables.
Day 2: After a lunch stop at The Big Texan for lunch we had a 5+ hour drive to KOA Journey in Raton NM.
Day 3: 7 hour drive to Douglas Wyoming.
Day 4: 5 hour drive from Douglas Wy through Colorado and ending at Headwaters Campground in Moran Wyoming where we began our exploration of the beautiful Grand Teton National Park.
